On Wednesdays, We

Let Them Wear... Whatever They Want

What does “Let Them” mean? Where did this idea come from?

As Jaycees, we have long faced the challenge of recruiting younger members and making our organization appealing to a more diverse audience. This has been a persistent issue, echoing through generations with frustration and indifference. Too often, we try to fit new members into existing ideas of what they should do or be. Newer generations want to decide for themselves. If we want to include them, we need to let them be them.

How do we solve this issue?

By empowering our members to explore new ideas, develop their voices, and define this organization in their own ways, we give them the opportunities to become the changemakers of today and tomorrow.

We Let Them lead. We Let Them try. We Let Them learn. We Let Them succeed.

And we do it alongside them.

“Morgan brings the type of energy that makes everyone around her want to bring their A game. The passion and determination she shows in everything she does in and outside JCI and her efforts to help others feel supported is why I am confident she would be a remarkable National Vice President.”

DeMarcus Evans

89th Chapter President

JCI Greater muskegon,

“I have known Morgan Tedder for just under a year, but we’ve grown close in that time. She has been a shining example and strong resource for our NVP team and all 2024 State Presidents. Whether it has been 2 hours on the phone or a quick text to bounce an idea off, her perspective has been invaluable to me. I know I’m not the only one and I can’t wait to see her share her experience as a National Vice President in 2025. I am so proud to support Morgan Tedder for JCI USA National Vice President and “Let Them” in 2025!

Nick Mayrand

97th President JCI Texas

“I could not imagine a better candidate for this position. I’ve never met another person so driven and dedicated to cultivating change within the North Carolina Jaycees. This is evidenced by her invovlement with several chapters throughout the state, and now extending into JCI USA. Morgan strives to be inclusive, supportive, fair, ensuring that every member is heard and feels valued.”
